Detailed Help & Information

A comprehensive guide to the architecture and features of the Social Media Management Tool.

This tool is a powerful, multi-platform social media scheduler. It is designed to streamline the process of posting content to various accounts across different social media platforms.

The Core Concept: Categories

The entire application is organized around Categories. Think of a category as a project, brand, or client. Every social media account you connect and every post you make belongs to a category. This structure allows you to manage multiple, distinct social media strategies from a single dashboard.

Step 1.1: Connecting Your Accounts

This is the most critical first step. The tool needs credentials to post on your behalf.

  • Navigate to Settings -> Add Account.
  • First, select the Category you want to add an account to.
  • Next, choose the Platform (e.g., Facebook, Twitter). The required credential fields will appear dynamically.
  • Enter the API keys, tokens, and any other required information. You can get these from the developer portal of the respective social media platform.

Step 1.2: Platform Configuration (For Administrators)
  • The Settings -> Manage Configurations page allows administrators to see and edit the low-level settings for each platform, such as character limits or API version numbers.
  • The Settings -> Migrate Configs page is a one-time setup tool to move these configurations from a file into the database. It should only be run once.

The tool offers three distinct posting methods to suit different needs:

1. Single Account Post

Accessed via Post Composer. This is for creating a highly targeted post for one specific account. The interface will adapt to the selected platform, giving you fields and character limits specific to that platform.

2. Category Multi-Post

Also accessed via Post Composer. This allows you to broadcast a single message to all enabled accounts within one category. It's perfect for running a campaign for a specific brand or project.

3. Global Multi-Post

Accessed via the Global Multi-Post page. This is the most powerful option, allowing you to send a post to every enabled account across all categories. Use this for major announcements.

The Composer Interface Explained
  • Dynamic Content Fields: The composer is intelligent. When you post to multiple platforms, it knows they have different rules. It will automatically show you separate text boxes for platforms like Twitter (280 chars), Snapchat (80 chars), and a generic "Short-Form" message so you can tailor your content perfectly. If you don't fill in a specific box, it will use the main message.
  • The YouTube Exception: When you select a YouTube account in "Single Account" mode, the entire form changes to a dedicated video uploader, with fields for your video file, title, description, tags, and thumbnail.
  • Image Handling: You can add an image by providing a URL or by uploading one directly. The uploader includes a gallery of previously uploaded images for the selected category, so you can easily reuse them.
  • Placeholders: You can use placeholders like {category_name} or {website} in your text. The system will automatically replace these with the correct values from the database for each post, allowing you to create dynamic, personalized content at scale.

AI Content Generation

The AI can write your posts for you. Simply provide a topic or some keywords in the "AI Context" box and click the "Generate with AI" button. The AI will then populate all relevant message fields (main, Twitter, etc.) with well-written content, which you can then edit.

Reusable Posts (Content Library)

If you have content you post frequently, you can save it as a reusable post. In the composer, simply check the "Save as Reusable Post" box and give it a title. You can then load this content (including the message and image URL) at any time from the "Load Reusable Post" button, saving you significant time.

Automatic Drafts

Never lose your work again. As you type in the composer, the system automatically saves a draft to your local browser storage. If you accidentally close the tab or your browser crashes, the system will offer to restore your draft the next time you open the page.

The Dashboard

The dashboard is your command center. It provides at-a-glance statistics about your posting activity and shows a list of all your upcoming scheduled posts.

Post Logs

The Settings -> Post Logs page provides a comprehensive, searchable history of every post attempt made through the system. You can see which posts were successful and which ones failed, along with any error messages from the social media platforms, making it easy to troubleshoot any issues.
